Business Overview:


The North American Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Coverage platform is responsible for advising and delivering the Bank’s full solutions to mid-to-mega cap, market-leading corporates.

Responsibilities:


Business and Relationship Development


  • Keep Senior Bankers (SB) & Marketing VP’s up to date on all developments (financial and otherwise) on the sector and the portfolio
  • Develop content and own the pitch book process in close coordination with product teams
  • Act as the principal back-up of the SB & Marketing VP vis-à-vis clients, the business lines and other departments of the bank
  • Create strategic sector and/or client presentation materials, with SB guidance, for both domestic and international review
  • Provide support to the SB in their regular marketing/calling program
  • Maintain databases of client and industry-wide financial information, including internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Develop product understanding and expertise with product specialists
  • Contribute to the initial credit assessment to determine the opportunities worth pursuing.


This should entail:


  • Running and presenting of a return on capital output model to SB
  • Develop & maintain client/prospect fact sheets (ratings, exposure, opportunities, deals, etc.),
  • Working in close to co-operation with the RM and credit analyst to contribute to the process
  • Prepare and facilitate the internal approval of capital allocation via the Resource Allocation Committee process
  • Discussing the proposed facility with the RM and relevant product specialists


pipeline reports, product heat map, and weekly/monthly activity summaries


  • Work on ad hoc projects and deals as needed
  • Develop sectorial expertise and serve as internal resource for BNP Paribas globally
  • Prepare and maintain annual client budget in coordination w/the SB, Corporate Platform, and various product areas


Know Your Client (KYC) & Operations


Manage all client matters related to KYC, due diligence, Compliance, Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) requirements, etc.


  • Act as a liaison for the SB between Corporate Client Implementation team, Due Diligence, CARD/Recertification, Compliance and CSR to enhance the level of execution for our Corporate clients
  • Cultivate relationships with Due Diligence and Compliance teams domestically and abroad
  • Coordinate onboarding and re-certifications for corporate clients in the US


Minimum Required Qualifications:


  • 1 – 2 years’ experience of knowledge in Americas markets
  • 1– 2 years’ experience in Corporate or Investment Banking
  • Bachelor’s degree

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $100,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
