The Team: The Part-Time Visual Merchandiser position is part of the American Girl New York City retail store team.

The Opportunity: The American Girl New York City retail store is seeking a dynamic individual for the Part-Time Visual Merchandiser position. This position will be responsible for new product launches and initiatives, seasonal floor sets, changes to floor due to product availability, daily maintenance of product displays, and adherence to the organization's visual high standards.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with staff, management, and corporate partners. Provide assistance to customers as needed.
• Maintain the overall visual and merchandising standards of the store consistent with the organization's vision of the brand.
• Assist visual merchandising manager in the execution of display window changes, merchandise changes and planogram layouts, and graphic changes.
• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks based on business need and to troubleshoot when product availability becomes an issue.
• Stock merchandise when needed.
• Create dynamic displays using dolls and complementary product. Keep current on product knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1 - 2 years of successful work experience in retail merchandising, retail, or related field which includes expertise in customer service, preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Manual skills in doll styling, straight blade cutting, and minor assembly, preferred.
• Ability to work independently and quickly within a team setting
• Knowledge of general visual principles required with a strong emphasis on construction and detail.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.

The hourly rate for this position is between $19.50 - $23.50.*

• Hourly rate is based on a candidate’s education, skills and experience.
