Responsibilities

Base Salary Range: $81,000 – $260,000
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

Trade City Financial Portfolio Analyst (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, New York, NY)

Participate in pre-closing & closing phases and review term sheet with Front Office to determine acceptable deal structure. Review credit agreement for conformity with term sheet and approvals. Define documentation/monitoring, facility structure feasibility from a credit / risk perspective Analysis, attend pre-closing and post-closing meeting on as needed basis. Interact with other departments including Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Loan Servicing, LC department, Accounting and Payment department. After closing, be responsible for client processing including loan and collateral activity, plus closing and amendments to facilities with direct contact to the clients, FO and other banks. Utilize knowledge of “commodity & trade finance” and “structured trade finance” and define Borrowing Base and transactional monitoring process as per internal guideline collateral valuation/eligibility, pre -approved lists monitoring. Contribute to adapt rules and processes linked to financial crime, maintain departmental procedures for scope and accuracy, identifying controls and implementing changes. Be vigilant to possible control issues or concerns, apply all Group rules and procedures linked to financial crime risks prevention. Monitor and analyze collateral activities. Maintain appropriate level of operational risk culture and awareness. Maintain the knowledge and technical skills of team members in commodity financing operations. Perform and participate in periodic risk reviews with RISK department and Business Line: monthly/quarterly meeting to discuss “Borrowing Base” analysis. Prepare notes for meetings, participate in projects from proposal to implementation, and ensure proper testing, training, and implementation of projects. Train new junior staff in MO procedures, systems and collateral monitoring. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to SG Americas Operational Services LLC, 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167. Salary: $81,000 – $260,000 per year.

Profile required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field plus 2 years of professional experience in commodities trade finance operations and financing in transactional and borrowing base report monitoring. Must also have experience with the following special skills: 2 years of professional experience utilizing accounting concepts including Cash, AP, AR, Net, and Inventory; 2 years of professional experience with international multi-office operations; 2 years of professional experience performing management reporting for credit and risk; 1 year of professional experience performing Middle Office or Back Office collateral monitoring; and 1 year of professional experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, plus collateral management system.
