Responsibilities Plans, analyzes, manages, coordinates, directs, evaluates, and validates work assignments for closure in support of the DLA Director and J3 leadership. Issues taskers on behalf of J3 leadership to track, respond, and close out responses to Congressional inquiries, and GAO and DoD/IG Reports and recommendations. Integrates high-level briefings, products, presentations, and written and oral communications that support critical and time sensitive strategic/operational/tactical customer matters. Provides program management oversight and serves as expert planner, coordinator, and advisor. Serves as the focal point for monitoring progress, analyzing completeness of responses, deconflicting and documenting opposing views, evaluating secondary and tertiary effects of any changes about policy or... .interrelated issues and as required, conducting secondary coordination as a result. Analyzes requirements, assigns work requirements, determines status of work assignments, reviews/validates input to determine completeness and closes out taskers based on the incumbent's analysis of the requirements. Prepares written instruction guides to train and educate J3 personnel on proper use of the Task Management Tracker System Conducts face-to-face and group training sessions. Integrates the J3 General Order, identifying, coordinating, and the roles, missions, and functions of the J3 organization. Reviews actions to ensure compliance with existing policies, directives, and procedures. Reviews requirements, analyzes and prioritizes, and makes independent adjustments for task management programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for an Administrative Staff Officer your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Resolves complex problems and conducts in-depth analysis involving programs and interpretation of related, legislation, policy, and guidance. Mastery of oral and written communications Expert knowledge of organizational management as applied to the management of large, complex organizations; demonstrated program management skills; administrative management, organizational and administrative theories, principles, applicable policies, and concepts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
