Actuarial Analyst - Remote | Wfh

In this fast-paced role, you will collaborate directly with our finance and clinical teams to build and enhance our core actuarial functions. As a leader in the team, you will be responsible for crucial processes such as reserving, forecasting, pricing, and value-based contract analytics. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop innovative processes that provide timely evaluation of our financial risks, contributing to the success of our strategic finance initiatives.
What You'll Do
Manage reserves and audit for the Medicare Advantage (MA) Value-Based Care (VBC) model and the ACO REACH program.
Model revenue and medical claims expense (MCE) forecasts.
Support MA prescription drug (MA-PD) expense analytics.
Evaluate MA VBC contracts and model financial projections.
Assist with risk adjustment analytics and sweep estimates.
Support stop-loss analytics, payment reimbursements, and renewals.
Contribute to medical economics reporting and perform ad-hoc analyses.
What You'll Bring
At least 3 years of experience in healthcare actuarial analytics or finance, preferably within PBMs, providers, payers, consulting, benefits consulting, or healthcare analytics.
Possession of 2 or more Actuarial Exams.
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics.
Strong experience in actuarial modeling and calculating IBNR estimates.
Proficiency in technical programming languages such as SQL, R, SAS, or Python.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of successful collaboration across various stakeholders.
Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from Operations, FP&A, Accounting, Clinical, and more.
