Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 / year


Description


NexCore Group, a leading commercial real estate company, is seeking a candidate to fill the position of AP Clerk within our Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate has a passion for accounting and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, start-up environment. In this position, you will be expected to process invoices and pay all vendors in a timely manner, and to assist the accounting department with various duties.


Other responsibilities will include collaboration with the accounting team to organize and maintain our invoice processing systems and communicating with internal and external customers. These responsibilities include processing payments for properties across the expanding senior living portfolio as well as ESL Corporate, across three accounting systems: TimberLine (TimberScan), Yardi (Avid), and MRI (Avid).


Our most successful team members are organized, self-starters who can multitask and prioritize projects in an ever-evolving environment, able to work independently and as part of a team, and communicate in a clear and timely fashion.


Key Responsibilities


Accounts Payable


  • Set up new vendors and obtain up to date W9s
  • Research statement/invoice discrepancies
  • Process bi-weekly check runs
  • Maintain a positive rapport with internal and external customers
  • Some A/R responsibilities in partnership with regional/property level resources
  • Assist with 1099 preparation and mailing
  • Assist with processing Corporate Billbacks
  • Responsible for entry and payment of invoices for multi-site and multi-state entities as well as ESL Corporate
  • Complete remittances, combine with signed checks, and mail payments in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate file records of digital copies so research may be conducted efficiently by any member of the accounting team


Other


  • Check online lockboxes for deposits/wires
  • Miscellaneous filing, copying, scanning of documents
  • Mail monthly rent statements and create return envelope labels
  • Deposit checks using remote scanner
  • Post payments to tenant ledgers(A/R)
  • Complete bank reconciliations for multiple entities
  • Update corporate A/R list
  • Ad hoc projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist with property management invoices and other corporate billings


Skills Knowledge And Expertise


  • High school diploma required, and some business/accounting courses and/or office experience preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize and manage time appropriately to meet assigned deadlines
  • Microsoft Office skills required (intermediate to advanced)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Experience with DSSI and Avid Pay preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills a plus
  • Proactive and independent, flexible and enthusiastic
  • Experience with Timberline, Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software a plus
  • Team player, enjoys collaborating with others
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Positive can-do attitude – willingness to roll up sleeves and support the needs of a start-up


Benefits


  • Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually
  • Travel: This position will not require any travel
