Accounting Supervisor - Accounts Payable

Description

The IMA Group is seeking to hire an experienced and thoughtful Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee activities under the guidance of the Accounts Payable Manager. This position requires very strong oral and written communication skills, a great attention to detail and organization, a strong ability to multi-task, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

The salary for this role is between $60,000 - $70,000 per year depending on experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Special projects as requested
• Supervise staff and monitor their work product for efficiency and accuracy
• Review and code corporate credit card charges
• Ensure that all accounts are accurately coded to the correct accounts
• Review banking portal for exceptions and uploaded files for positive pay
• Identify, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist in the month-end close process
• Business partnering with other functions
• Manage vendor relationships and routinely communicate with vendors
• Review, improve and enhance procedures through operational improvement opportunities
• Ensure timely invoice entry and payment processing of all bills and expenses
• Oversee and manage our AP and T E automation system
• Process check requests and other electronic payments
• Manage AP e-mail inbox and distribute work accordingly

Education

• Bachelors in Accounting or Business

Experience

• Five years of progressive experience in accounts payable
• Prior management experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead
• Experience working with accrual accounting and accounting software

Knowledge

• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting systems, MS Dynamics experience a plus
• Knowledge and experience with T E and AP automation programs - Certify or Concur
