As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll take the reins of the invoice process, ensuring its smooth journey from start to finish for specific departments and vendors. This crucial role involves verifying the accuracy of documentation, entering data into our user-friendly invoice platform, ensuring timely payments, and expertly reconciling statements at the end of each month, leaving no invoice overlooked. You'll also be the go-to person for managing vendor relations, truly making a difference in how we interact with our partners.
Working closely with the Senior Director of Accounting, you'll play an instrumental role in our growth phase. But it doesn't stop there - there's ample opportunity to expand your knowledge and dive deeper into financial statement close processes and general accounting principles.
What You'll Do
Skillfully code invoices for your assigned department using the innovative Ramp and Netsuite systems.
Embrace timeliness, ensuring prompt and accurate payments.
Utilize Excel wizardry to reconcile statements efficiently and effectively.
Shine as the primary contact for vendors, promptly addressing their inquiries regarding statements and payments.
Proactively gather and input new vendor information into our streamlined invoice platforms.
Elegantly issue 1099s to all applicable vendors at the end of the calendar year.
Contribute your creative ideas to enhance and optimize our AP process.
Embrace exciting ad-hoc projects that keep you on your toes.
You Have
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (it's our firm belief that education empowers).
Proficiency in Ramp or similar expense management software (we value your tech-savviness!).
While not mandatory, any experience in veterinary or medical services will surely be a purr-fect addition!
A knack for utilizing basic Excel formulas to breeze through projects efficiently.
An innate ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
A self-motivated, multitasking attitude with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
