The Role
As an Accounting Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. Your expertise will be crucial in processing day-to-day financial transactions and providing essential administrative support to both the accounting team and the executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily, weekly, and monthly data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in month-end procedures.
Assist with accounts receivable processes, specifically related to corporate memberships.
Oversee accounts payable activities, reviewing and approving invoices entered by our AP Clerk, managing vendor payments, and generating routine reports.
Handle sales and use tax filings each month to maintain compliance.
Ensure proper coding and adherence to company policies for corporate credit card spending.
Manage utility account payments for all our fitness centers.
Review bank reconciliations and make necessary journal entries to maintain precise financial records.
Gather revenue supporting documents and assist in the preparation and review of revenue data.
Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.
Position Requirements
Two to four years of experience in an accounting or administrative supportive role.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A strong attention to detail and excellent self-discipline to maintain accuracy in financial tasks.
Proficiency with MS Office, enabling you to work efficiently and effectively.
The ability to research and interpret general ledger data to support decision-making.
Prior experience in accounts payable is preferred, but we welcome applicants with relevant skills and a willingness to learn.
Compensation And Benefits
Competitive salary ranging from $34,000.00 to $38,000.00 annually.
