Job Summary
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Join our vibrant team as a Finance and Operations Coordinator! As an integral member of our community, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of providing an inclusive and empowering educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoice generation for speech and language, extended programs, and enrichment programs
Oversee billing for gym rentals and SCAMP, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
Track payments and past-due accounts in accounts receivable
Process weekly bank deposits, including both cash receipts and check deposits
Handle accounts payable duties, including verifying invoices, reconciling credit card statements, and coding expenses to appropriate accounts
Collaborate with vendors, ensuring compliance, and timely payment processing
Support fiscal year-end audit and assist with obtaining bids for projects
Maintain clear communication through emails and phone calls, following professional etiquette
Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks) and other tools to perform tasks efficiently
Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, faculty, and board members, embodying our commitment to a diverse and inclusive community
Uphold confidentiality in handling sensitive records
Qualifications
Prior experience in general accounting or related areas is preferred, with familiarity in maintaining financial records and bookkeeping
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is highly desirable
Practical oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities
Strong research and analysis skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy in financial information preparation and data entry
Capability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and organize work effectively
Understanding and appreciation for diversity and commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus
Physical Demands And Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of the job, you will primarily work in an office setting, with occasional walking and lifting up to 15 pounds. The role involves extended computer use and requires close vision and focus adjustment.
