Manufacturing Accountant (Quickbooks Experience)

Hon-R Chemicals is a diversified chemical manufacturing and packaging enterprise specializing in high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable Lubricants, Coolants, and Personal Care products. We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join our Finance department. This position will be very hands-on in a Finance department of two.

Responsibilities will include:

Provide financial leadership and support operations for the plant through accounting, forecasting, planning and reporting

• Collections (oversight & direct involvement)
• Interacting with personnel from across the organization as it relates to the specific areas of responsibility.
• Preparing journal entries
• Reconciling account balances
• Oversee month-end closing
• Fixed Asset subledger (CAPEX)
• Cash Flow monitoring
• Oversee AP, AR, Banking, & GL
• Performing account analysis
• Running various reports
• Bank Reconciliations & Banking Transactions

Financial Reporting

• Daily/Weekly/Monthly financial data review & reporting
• Preparation of financial statements

Audit

• Oversee annual audits with accounting firm
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents (with team assistance)

Taxes

• Work with CPA firm on Tax Returns & Franchise Taxes
• Submit Sales Tax returns

Requirements/Experience:

• Minimum 5 years exp with 3 in manufacturing
• Must be a ‘generalist’ in terms of experience (not simply a cost accountant or specialized position)
• Self-driven and autonomous
• Prefer someone who has worked with smaller companies
• Quickbooks proficiency (preferably Desktop/Enterprise)
• Bachelors’ degree in Finance or equivalent
