Senior Accountant Jobs

Within an innovative Chemicals Manufacturing company, there's currently a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant in the League City, TX area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Chemicals Manufacturing field and is located in the League City, Texas area.

How you will make an impact

- Present analysis on financial results such as trends,

performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

- Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux

analysis for management reporting

- Engage in various department-wide initiatives

- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and

reporting process and present improvement suggestions

- Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls

are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support

on special requests

- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables

that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation

area in compliance with GAAP

- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with

internal and external auditors

Requirements

- Knowledge of journal entries

- Bank Account Reconciliation experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

- Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting

- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience

- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw

connections and identify the "why"

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

- Current and relevant ERP system experience

- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet

deadlines

- Prior work done in public accounting is desired

- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet

deadlines

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Great attention to detail
