Senior Inventory Accountant Jobs

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant focus to join their team and oversee the accounting and financial reporting for inventory-related activities. The Senior Inventory Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the company's inventory records, overseeing the month-end close process, and preparing financial statements related to inventory. This role will also work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain and logistics, to ensure that inventory is properly accounted for and valued in accordance with accounting principles.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring that inventory-related accounts are properly classified and valued
• Oversee the month-end close process for inventory-related accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with accounting principles
• Develop and implement inventory-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and review financial statements related to inventory, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information
• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory accounting and reporting, and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, merchandising, and logistics, to ensure that inventory is properly accounted for and valued in accordance with accounting principles
• Manage and maintain the accuracy and completeness of inventory records, including reconciling inventory balances to physical counts, analyzing inventory trends, and identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Assist with other accounting and finance-related activities as needed

Requirements

• Experience with Netsuite and Advance Excel
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to inventory, including cost accounting and inventory valuation
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, must have experience in inventory accounting and reporting
