Senior Accountant (Hybrid) Jobs

The Senior Accountant position at Blue Tide Environmental is a great opportunity for an accountant to take their professional skillset to the next level. As part of a fast-growing company, the Senior Accountant will serve as a vital accounting resource primarily responsible for the company’s financial statements, internal management reports, lease and fixed asset accounting, and project cost tracking/reporting. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to enhance their accounting skillset by creating company policies/procedures, crafting financial statement disclosures, performing technical accounting research, and interacting with our internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the company’s Controller but will have plenty of direct interaction with the CFO and other department leaders.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead our project cost tracking efforts.
• Support the preparation and review of investor materials.
• Support our year-end audit and tax filing information (PBC) requests.
• Maintain our fixed asset accounting sub-ledger.
• Assist in ensuring proper accounting controls are being followed.
• Based on the candidate's capabilities, the Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to perform technical accounting research implementing new GAAP rules or to properly account for company financial transactions.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create and maintain internal management reports.
• Prepare routine and nonroutine journal entries as part of the monthly accounting close process.
• Create and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of shareholders' equity, cash flow statement).
• Participate in our upcoming ERP implementation and function as an ERP power user.
• Support the Controller and CFO with various information requests and special projects as needed.
• Own lease accounting and reporting in accordance with ASC 842.
