Your Role

Senior Accountant

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid in Tualatin, OR – 1 to 2 days in the office per week

As a Senior Accountant with us, you’ll maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within an organization and generate and interpret financial records and statements for management, maintaining general ledger, as needed. You’ll also analyze financial data, investigate, and resolve any variances in order to prepare financial records and statements for management

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with key players on the Human Resources team to ensure all journal entries and reconciliations relating to payroll and benefits are reported accurately and timely for monthly financial close
• Provide audit support for external auditors, including quarterly and year-end audits
• Develop and/or update procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls
• Assist in preparation of complex, non-routine financial reports and account analyses as requested by management
• Collaborate with GL, A/P, A/R and Operations to ensure all close and financial reporting deadlines are met
• Perform other duties or special projects as requested by management, support system implementation and system integration issues
• Key player in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and schedules to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly financial close

Required Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be highly organized and detailed oriented, handle multiple tasks and priorities, and work independently and effectively under deadlines and conflicting priorities
• Team player with a positive attitude and a strong thirst for knowledge
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting under GAAP
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education
• Ability to quickly learn new accounting software programs and navigate multiple reporting platforms with ease
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to organize raw data into meaningful reports for facilitating important management decisions
• Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to improve corporate efficiency, internal controls and achieve corporate goals
• 3+ years of experience, with 2+ of those years at the Senior Accountant level
• Ability to follow, understand, and improve existing journal entries and work papers

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Sage or ERP Tier II system experience
• Previous Cost Accounting and/or Manufacturing experience
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Previous experience in multi-currency and multi-entity companies
