The Account Director is a senior-level position responsible for leading and encouraging client relationships, ensuring client happiness, and driving business growth through effective planning and execution. As an Account Director, responsible for an account team and collaborate with various Practice and Solutions Areas to deliver outstanding marketing solutions and services to our clients. You will be the main point of contact for clients and act as their advocate, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
The Director will be tasked to drive the service delivery strategy and its execution and be accountable for the contract and its performance, retention, customer happiness and reviewing expansion opportunities.
The Account Director drives a book(s) of business that typically generates revenue between $2.0 and $20.0 million.
What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Lead and encourage the account team, providing mentorship, support, and feedback to ensure they deliver exceptional service and meet client expectations.
- Budget Management: Work with clients to establish budgets for projects, campaigns, and overall account activities. Supervise and handle budgets to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency. Ensure client invoicing and processes requirements are met.
- Business Development: Find opportunities and partner with the Growth Team to generate new business leads. Upsell services to existing clients and explore avenues for cross-selling.
- Client Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing campaign results, strategic insights, and recommendations for future initiatives.
- Project Management: Coordinate the execution of initiatives and projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Performance Analysis: Supervise and analyze campaign performance data, providing clients with regular reports and insights. Use data to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Any other needs identified by Group Account Director
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and long-lasting relationships with key clients. Understand their business goals, marketing objectives, and challenges to successfully address their needs. Be the senior management point person for client accountability.
- Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing initiatives aligned with clients' objectives, market trends, and industry standard methodologies.
What You'll Need
- Confirmed experience (typically 5+ years) directing accounts or a similar senior-level position within a marketing services company.
- Knowledge and understanding of client’s business and industry.
- Proficiency in marketing principles, campaign management, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management approach, with a focus on motivating and developing team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong background of successfully leading and growing client accounts, delivering results, and meeting targets.
- Thought leadership: Empower good thinking and encourage collaboration and passion. Communication with clients should drive clarity and encourage client confidence.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong communications experience and knowledge in Advertising, Marketing, Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing and Marketing Platforms.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative, analytics, and technology departments.
- Ability to grow expertise in presenting all OneMagnify Practice Areas to describe full service offering.
