Responsible for connecting with existing and potential patients while providing education around a medical device and procedure. Requiring strong communication skills to assist the patient to a engage in conversation with a physician for potential treatment of a chronic medical condition. Responsibilities will be receiving various incoming and outgoing patient focused phone calls for assigned clients and programs in accordance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and federal laws and regulations

Patient Education Specialist Functions – Connect with existing and potential patients while providing education around a medical device and procedure. Responsibilities will be receiving various incoming and outgoing patient focused phone calls for assigned clients and programs in accordance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and federal laws and regulations

• Call processing includes providing education information and materials, transferring calls to the RN on the team to overcoming patient objection or barriers, transitioning between script elements, questions, resolving issues and providing customer service
• Patient education specialist should maintain established quality and completed calls per hour goals while supporting Salelytics goals and objectives
• Collaborate with the RN to obtain product knowledge regarding medical device, clinical data, patient process and recommend physicians
• Patient education specialist is responsible for processing various incoming and outgoing patient focused phone calls for assigned clients and programs in accordance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and federal laws and regulations

Education

• Additional education may be required based on individual projects and/or locations
• Actively License RN Required
• Must be 18 or older and have a High School education or GED required

Experience

• Candidates need to meet the experience requirements for specific program
