Job description

• Identify gaps, controls issue, standardization and other process improvement opportunities in line with client’s standard operating model
• Good understanding of end-to-end business processes and work with sub-ledger groups (Payroll, AR, AP, Credit & Collections, etc.)
• Develop, perform and monitor analytics on key accounts to drive resolution, create efficiencies in reviews, provide entity wide visibility and reduce overall risk
• Review the health of balance sheet accounts by owning and resolving reconciling items thru RCA and in collab with cross-functional team
• Act as a champion in assigned areas and advise client with accounting procedure as needed
• Ensure compliance to Financial & Accounting Methods Manual (FAMM) and suggest addition/updates
• Lead and drive projects such as Automation of Journal Entries, reduce volume of recons, increase auto-certifications, etc.
• Lead review of monthly and quarterly Account reconciliations to lower risk and ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance in accordance to US GAAP
• Review month-end task list, including BPC reporting packages for financial consolidation to ensure overall close activities are completed timely and accurately
• Translate technical accounting guidance into operational accounting processes
• Work with clients to implement controls, solutions, including Chart of Accounts mapping for technology deployment for reconciliation (preferred Cadency experience). Complete special projects
• Act as advisory to client to accelerate month-end closing, standard vs. non-standard JEs, JE automation and reconciliation

Qualification

• Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Experience in Trintech Cadency implementation
• Minimum 5 years in supervisory role in Accounting
