It Support Technician Intern Jobs in New York

Set up new user accounts, manage access permissions, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.

Proven experience in providing technical support to end-users in a professional environment.

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.

Experience working with monitoring and management solutions such as NOC software and PSAs

Ability to present solutions that were designed and implemented to high level management

Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as server virtualization

Knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, registry settings, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP networking, and firewalls

Experience with disaster recovery and regaining access and functionality to IT infrastructure a plus

Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory

Create, document, and maintain business continuity practices including local backups, power management, firewall monitoring, etc.

Knowledge of Windows networking experience

Analyze user needs and develop software solutions: work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs.

Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)

Knowledge of Microsoft cloud products: O365, SharePoint

Experience with backup routines and protocols
