Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The IT Support Technician will provide technical support and assistance to our internal users, ensuring the smooth operation of our company's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach to IT support.
Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as hardware upgrades, software deployments, and system migrations.
  • Set up new user accounts, manage access permissions, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory changes in the IT ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions to improve IT processes and systems.
  • Respond to user inquiries and technical issues through various communication channels, including email, phone, and in-person, to provide timely and effective technical support.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the security and performance of systems and devices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology to contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT support function.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on basic IT procedures, applications and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support to end-users in a professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and protocols.
Working Conditions: This position involves working in an office environment with occasional requirements to provide on-site support. The IT Support Technician may be required to lift and move computer equipment and peripherals.
