Shipping Supervisor Jobs

DecksDirect is looking for a Warehouse Shipping Supervisor to lead a team and succeed in fulfilling our company’s mission to “Help People Build Better Decks!” If you are looking to mentor a team to deliver operational excellence across all warehouse and home delivery functions, we want YOU! Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Keeping Track of metrics and performance goals to identify trends and anticipate issues
• Schedule and manage shifts on a weekly basis to ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Manage relationships with transportation service providers, manufacturers, suppliers, internal departments, and customers
• Supervise a warehouse team to hold them accountable for following goals
• Evaluate and improve processes to ensure the proper handling of the product as well as accuracy and efficiency of picking, packing, and processing of orders
• Manage warehouse supplies to ensure all pallets, boxes, and other various supplies are ordered and stocked

Qualifications:

• Experience in Excel, Gsuite and Netsuite preferred
• Strong math skills that enable you to create and track metrics to understand what meaningful metrics say about performance
• Minimum 3 years of warehouse Supervisory experience
• Self-directed, flexible, entrepreneurial, and resourceful
• Experience managing daily workforce and hourly production team members by setting and enforcing policies with disciplinary actions when needed
• Manage time effectively with limited supervision, well-organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift 50 lbs
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent amount of experience
• Strong interpersonal skills; above average oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of compliance issues (Legal, HR, OSHA, Safety, etc.)

Position details:

• Salaried / Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
• Full Time: Monday - Friday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
• Internal position: Not remote or telecommute
• Location: Whitestown, IN
• Reports to: Operations Manager
