About This Position
The Freight Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Freight Departmen; including having customer orders processed, pulled accurately and shipped in a timely manner.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure all freight orders are assembled, stacked correctly, wrapped, checked, and shipped in a timely manner
• Document and report all shipping errors, and maintain an error rate of less than .005% to the customer
• Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
• Effectively schedule and control labor in the receiving, freight, Access Bulk and UPS departments
• Manage assigned aspects of supervising; training, scheduling and disciplining assigned warehouse staff
• Communicate with local truck lines to ensure all freight is picked up daily
• Train all new employees in all aspects of the job within the freight departments and ensure the cross training and rotating of employees into the various department positions
• Take pride in your surroundings by helping maintain a clean workspace

What You'll Need

• Warehouse managerial or supervisory experience preferred
• Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Ability to use various software programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word along with a strong working knowledge of our Alice system
• Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) Company or Facility background check and drug screening
• Excellent organizational skills
• Familiarity with inventory management
