Overview A Senior Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Human Resources department. They are responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and providing guidance and advice to management and staff. They also provide support in recruitment, training, and development, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Detailed Job Description A Senior Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Human Resources department. They are responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and providing guidance and advice to management and staff. They also provide support in recruitment, training, and development, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.The Senior Human Resources Specialist is responsible for:
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to human resources
• Managing employee relations, including resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and providing guidance and advice to management and staff
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and development activities
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners
• Assisting with the development of performance management systems
• Providing guidance and advice to management and staff on human resources matters
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement
• Participating in special projects and initiatives
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of human resources principles and practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
• Knowledge of recruitment, training, and development processes
• Knowledge of performance management systems
• Knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Experience managing employee relations
• Experience providing guidance and advice to management and staff
• Experience with recruitment, training, and development
