Youth Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities

Relocation assistance available for highly-qualified candidates

Motivation sessions: Encouraging students to advance in their academic apps and achieve their learning goals

Manages the development of analytical reports, slide decks, charts, infographics and other materials for internal or external use

Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability

Attends meetings with internal and external audiences and gives data-led presentations on program effectiveness

Participates in public information workshops, hearings, and community service program issues as needed

Performs related duties as required

Must have valid driver’s license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance

Strong data management skills to support cabinets, committees, department leads and program staff.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, problem-solve, and possess effective time management skills.

High degree of human relation skills, i.e., ability to effectively communicate and manage information to peers, staff, and volunteers.

Ability to understand, communicate, prioritize, and comply with reporting requirements

CPR/AED certification required within 6 months of employment.

2+ years of experience in youth development or non-profit.

Theories and principles of counseling, case management, child and family assessment, intervention and therapy.

Stable, friendly/family atmosphere. Fosters internal talent with training/educational programs and encourages career advancement.

CPR and First Aid certifications within six (6) months of date of employment.

JIREH certification within six (6) months of date of employment.

Health Insurance: County provides medical, dental and vision coverage for employees and dependents with co-payment by employee dependent and/or family status.

Vacation: Accrued at the rate of 4.6154 hours per pay period, or 120 hours per year (increase with years of service).

Design, plan, create and post monthly calendars and flyers to advertise activities and program offerings on-site.

Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens in various capacities.

Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to all residents.

Enlist residents’ support and participation with program planning and activities.

Solicit donations and work with community partners.

You have experience as a camp counselor, athletic coach, or similar non-teaching role

Experience performing at an elite level (Division 1 sports, Presidential Scholar, etc.)

Applicants for this class must be willing to travel locally, regionally and statewide to meet specific job requirements.

Trains grant recipients on new programs, policies, grant requirements, and other children's issues.

Personal Computer Including Skill with Microsoft Office Suite

Coordinates regional and local efforts between public and private service providers to enhance services for children and youth.

Participate in education and outreach activities, including local coalitions, taskforces and working groups.

Maintain clients’ confidential records, input case notes, and perform other administrative tasks such as timekeeping, data entry, and grant compliance.

Two to five years of relevant experience.

Prioritize client emergencies; provide culturally competent crisis intervention when needed.

Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.

Support special events and donations drives, as needed.
