Procurement Contracts Associate Jobs

Taking a comprehensive view of spending and identifying opportunities for demand management, leveraging, and cost control at the category level.

Manage spreadsheets for finance for inbound chemicals

Assist the Finance group on an as needed basis and function as Site Procurement Resource

Handle the Goods Received/Invoice Received (GR/IR) report and work closely with Finance to clear past dues

Manage paperwork for inbound chemicals and creating the goods receipt

BS degree or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree

Min 7 years experience with purchasing and inventory management disciplines in high volume environments

Experience with purchasing processes, and supply chain management

Knowledge of inventory management standards and practices

Bachelors Degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent

Manage execution and analysis of material forecasting (SAP eSPP) results

Manage Inventory Planning (SAP DRP) for cost-effective procurement and to meet KPI’s for Fill Rate, Inventory turns and MOS

Strong contract management (content and structure of legal documents) and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes

Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, such as supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory management

Bachelor’s Degree in procurement, supply chain management, or business administration

Implement robust supplier qualification and evaluation processes to ensure the selection of reliable and compliant suppliers

Stay informed about changes in pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance, and legal requirements (e.g., GXP), ensuring adherence throughout the entire procurement process

15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contracting, and negotiating, preferably in the pharmaceutical or the life sciences industry

Creative contracting experiences in contract management.

Experience working with virtual teams, including upper management.

Prepare and present briefings to management and customers.

Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education in lieu of degree

10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or Procurement in Biotechnology companies; 7+ years’ experience with Master’s.

Comprehensive knowledge of commercial contract terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently.

Lead in procurement execution for relatively standard sourcing events, commensurate with entry level/limited procurement experience, including:

Serve as primary backup to the Manager, Contracts of the Procurement group on all contract-related matters

Minimum 3 years related experience in a contract procurement or legal position required.

Knowledge of life sciences and basic contract law preferred.

Assist in the review and negotiations, for all Procurement staff, in cases of conflicting terms & conditions.

Assist with the on-going development and improvement of systems to support the contract life cycle management policies and process.

Superior contract negotiation, drafting and conflict resolution skills with a deep understanding of commercial contract provisions and contract structures.

Excellent analytical, verbal, research, writing, and problem-solving skills.

3-6 years of commercial law transactional legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department

Experience with use of document/discovery databases.

Review, analyze, modify, and negotiate complex contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels.

3 Years' experience in procurement/strategic sourcing (Renewable Energy experience if applicable)

Ownership and execution of procurement workflow methodology

Interacting with internal and external stakeholders on process feedback for improvement

Creating tools and processes that ensure a more seamless interaction for interdepartmental projects

Supporting strategic sourcing projects for long term, complex service and materials agreements

Acquiring market intel to support internal stakeholders on strategic growth initiatives

Experience with change management & putting new processes in place

Experience with contract lifecycle management software (preferably Lexion)

Experience with expense management software (preferably Airbase) and invoicing

Create and uplevel procurement processes, including contract management, negotiation, purchase orders, and invoicing.

Manage the vendor negotiations & procurement of products and services, from sourcing through negotiation and ultimately tracking and reporting.

Coordinate with legal, finance, accounting, and IT to ensure compliance, identify process improvements, and lower costs.

1-3 years of relevant experience supporting Operations function in Supply Chain and Procurement/Sourcing
