Supplier Program Manager (Level 4)

Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities.

Working knowledge, principles, and practices of office management/systems within a higher education environment, preferred. Demonstrates an understanding of underlying organizational issues.

Working knowledge of Cayuse Grants Management systems preferred.

Working knowledge of enterprise data management applications (e.g., SOAR, People Soft, Agiloft, Workday, Cayuse)

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in grants administration in a higher education setting preferred.

Analyzes funding opportunity announcements to understand sponsor requirements and limitations and communicates to faculty and other applicable stakeholders.

Advises PIs/PDs and the OSPR Executive Director of cost share commitment requirements and potential risks.

Experience working with financial and grants management systems.

Up to one year of management or leadership experience preferred. At least two years working in a grant-making organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Performs a variety of management and oversight activities to ensure team productivity and service levels are achieved.

Collaborates with Grants & Contracts Management and Administration leadership team to ensure cross-functional processes and procedures are well-coordinated and seamlessly executed.

Provides training and business management assistance to program staff, applicants, and recipients.

Demonstrated planning and workload balancing skills to enable management of competing deadlines and concurrent proposals;

Three (3) or more years of experience in administrative services at a higher education or research institution;

Sponsored Award Program Management – 25%

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education; Advanced degree preferred.

Sponsored programs and research administration and/or University accounting experience preferred;

Strong written communication skills to assist with various formal and informal written communications with internal and external stakeholders;

Take ownership and manage multiple files and / or programs
