Job Description

GTS Group’s core transport, logistics, and 3PL services enhance its Project Cargo Management, DGR/IMDG & RAM HAZMAT, Contract Airlift, Multimodal Multi-Transborder Program Cargo management, and Cold-Chain, all of which are underpinned by GTS’ QMS and renowned Quality Processes and Standards.GTS operational experience and expertise has made GTS the primary vendor for many corporations, government agencies, US/DOD, DOE and DOS contactors, and international organizations.


GTS now seeks an Ops Specialist to join its Ocean Team in a positive environment. Note that the candidate will work remotely half of each month once the training process is complete. Starting annual base salary $65K with room for advancement; reviews at 90/180/360 days may be accompanied with increase; 27 paid PTO/GTS Holidays in Year 1; self-directed 401k Plan; generous annual Performance Bonus; health plan; short and long-term disability and life insurance.


Responsibilities:

·Uphold GTS’ ISO QM and Quality, Service & Communication Standards

·Meet and exceed Customer expectations

·Create door to door transport and logistics plans for ocean shipments

·Take ownership and manage multiple files and / or programs

·Oversee operations for quoting, processing, tracking, and delivering shipments

·Plan packaging/crating of shipments with the Box Shop Team

·Schedule transit plans to ensure on-time delivery, while maintaining cost targets

·Expert document preparation for export and customs clearance

·Communicate and update customers through phone and e-correspondence, while developing lasting relationships

·Contribute to development of departmental goals and objectives

·Edit and implement internal standard operating processes and procedures

·Maintain the highest standard of civility, ethics, morals, and integrity


Qualifications:

·Minimum three (3) years proven industry experience

·Bachelor’s degree preferred

·Positive Mental Attitude, respectful, and engaging

·Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork

·Manifest a high degree of attention to detail

·Possess strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills

·Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·USG experience a plus

·Security Clearance a plus
