Current Packaging (Bottle/Can/Keg) Specialist at Golden Brewery with demonstrated knowledge of packaging equipment, systems, and processes

5+ years of Packaging experience preferred

Prioritizes and coordinates activities to support all areas of production while coaching team members with little direct supervision

Meet with Packaging Management Team weekly.

Develop and/or update SOPs for tasks associated with master training matrix. Reciprocate these changes to Packaging Manager.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Follow all PPE and GMP requirements.

Create weekly shift staffing schedule based on vacation schedule.

Confirm proper packaging mix and packaging materials (PakTechs, Crowns, Lids, Keg Collars, etc.) based on BBT volume before kegging/filling of product.

Experience in a related field is a plus

Ability to apply knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products to the nuances of everyday operation

Must be able to read and understand production requirements

Processing (Slicing packing + labeling)

Safe Food Practices specific to department

Picking food products and packing in boats, totes and boxes

Technical leadership and strong Project Management, proven for complex initiatives and programs.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience working on packaging projects, materials, manufacturing, converting or packaging commercialization.

Subject matter expert in Packaging systems, Packaging materials and Packaging technologies. Robust experience utilizing scientific principles to solve technical problems.

Knowledge of food packaging fundamentals and application to the product development process.

Established industry relationships and strong knowledge in the areas of eCom, manufacturing and supply chains.

Strong written and verbal communication skills especially when simplifying complex technical concepts across functions and levels of the organization.

Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects

Strong record keeping skills/ability REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent AND minimum 5 years experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology cGMP regulated environment.

Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and federal regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes

Working knowledge of good manufacturing systems and familiarity with regulatory and manufacturing SOPs and cGMPs

Demonstrated and or certified project management skillset. Strong process experience

Experience with systems and data management

Provides deep level of field/project and process knowledge to influence & drive decision making across key milestones

Tracking restaurant legal requirements and associated packaging needs

Development of systems/databases to store and sync data across restaurant compliance requirements and packaging usage to identify gaps / risks

Ensuring proper compliance certifications and identifying ways to track certification expiry dates

Controls the process of multiple packaging machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.

Evaluates and improves operator’s skill level and assist in administering levels testing.

Reviews process data daily to ensure department is meeting or exceeding efficiency requirements.

Effectively communicates issues to the shift supervisor, packaging technicians, and production manager.

Demonstrated ability to operate basic skill level position(s)

Demonstrated ability to operate a Skilled Position as certified by a supervisor

Start time 5:30am until 8 hrs or 12 hrs with overtime.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Frequently stand and walk. Sitting, using hands to lift or move, reaching with hands and arms.

Work in either a refrigerated or unconditioned environment.

You’ll have 3+ years of experience as a manufacturing/operations supervisor

This position reports to the Unit Manger – Packaging and works closely with Brewery Operational Teams.

Develop and lead execution of the Line 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability.

Owns Planned Stop Execution and has monthly review accountability of Line Master Plans and results

Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment

Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Manages inventory through transactions in the warehouse management system.

Monitors production order to ascertain type and quantity of product and other packaging requirements.

Performs responsibilities of Packaging employees as needed.

One to Three years’ related experience and/or training

Preferred two years plus related experience

Good knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in a manner to successfully perform the job duties.
