Storm water Permit implementation in an MS4 environment, including the monitoring, evaluating and developing best management practices;

Previous experience in municipal government setting;

Certified Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Specialist Certification

Experience maintaining records and findings, documents, correspondence, and related files and records;

Experience managing a database of inspections, events, etc. to assist with annual reporting;

Manage a team with a diverse array of talents, responsibilities, and cultural/linguistic backgrounds.

Manage a large annual budget and be a good steward of federal spending.

Manage third-party contributions and communication with stakeholders.

Manage a team of mentors to provide cultural and emotional support to unaccompanied children and unaccompanied refugee minors.

Four (4) years of experience in language and cultural services support or other relevant work.

One (1) year of full-time paid supervisory experience.

Manages the development of analytical reports, slide decks, charts, infographics and other materials for internal or external use

Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability

Attends meetings with internal and external audiences and gives data-led presentations on program effectiveness

Participates in public information workshops, hearings, and community service program issues as needed

Performs related duties as required

Must have valid driver’s license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance

Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve project issues

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Project/Program management experience and training (e.g., PMP certification) highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, public policy, public health, education, information management, social work, or social science.

Three (3) plus years of work experience in program and/or project management, consulting, or related fields.

Superior critical thinking and written and oral communication skills required.

Experience with conducting research and/or technical assistance projects highly desirable.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

Oversee procurement and management of contracted vendors for the Language Services Program.

a rating of relevant education and experience and/or an oral examination (100%)

Manage oversight and compliance of the City of Minneapolis’ Language Access Plan.

Knowledge of community engagement principles

Bilingual skills in Spanish, Somali, Amharic, Oromo, Hmong, Vietnamese and/or Lao.

Monitor and coordinate the assignment of vendors to fulfill requested interpreting and translation services via the Language Services Portal.
