Hotel Cook Jobs

Knowledgeable of kitchen equipment, good knife skills, and possess a full tool kit.

Knowledgeable of weights and measures, as well as basic math applications.

Prepare food orders according to recipe specifications including portion control, presentation and temperature.

Adhere to Serv-Safe HACCP food sanitation standards throughout all phases of food production.

Attend meetings as required by management.

Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.

Previous kitchen line cook experience in hotel or restaurant is preferred.

ServSafe certification is required before working.

Greets all guests and associates in a friendly manner.

Experience using common kitchen equipment and comprehension of basic mathematics skills to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes

Related experience in a dynamic restaurant atmosphere

Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel

Serv-Safe and First Aid Certifications

Learn preparation for all breakfast menu items in accordance with Tudor Bar and Grill quality standards

Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies

You will develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry)

You will have the opportunity to experience using knives and various kitchen equipment

1-3 years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment

Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it

Consults with Executive Chef and/or Banquet Manager regarding week's forecast, special functions, and volume of expected concession activity.

Skillfully use hand tools or machines needed for your work.

Provides professional and courteous service at all times.

Cooks and otherwise prepares foods according to recipes.

Checks all food for taste, temperature and eye appeal.

Cuts, trims, bones and carves meats and poultry for cooking.
