Global Payroll Manager Jobs

Communicate professionally and regularly with global payroll support vendors to ensure timely, accurate processing, and knowledge of local requirements

Work with 3rd party benefit vendors implementing processes to manage employee and payroll data exchanges (ex. perquisites, pension schemes)

Manage planning and execution of activities related to payroll, including communications and training of staff

Travel as needed to meet client project requirements

Process and record individual country payroll and related transactions in accordance with deadlines, collating various internal sources of information

Research and propose resolution of any data conflicts that impact payroll processing

Manage employee benefits programs across different countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Payroll Manager with a focus on international payroll processing.

Strong knowledge of global payroll practices, tax laws, and compliance requirements in multiple countries.

Collaborate with payroll providers or vendors in various regions to manage payroll data and processes effectively.

Work with global benefits providers to streamline administration and resolve issues.

Timeliness: Strong deadline management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional collaborators to an outcome on a set timeline.

Prioritization: Excellent project management skills with the ability to process a large number of competing requests from cross-functional partners .

Efficient with large dataset management; strong experience in Excel

Retrieve reports, collaborate with HR, conduct audits, and communicate outcomes to Senior Management.

Manage all payroll-related issues for all external and internal stakeholders in a prompt and efficient manner.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations as they relate to payroll.

BA degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience, CPP certification a strongly preferred

Experience with executing complex benefits programs within payroll and automated HR and payroll systems; Workday, Cloudpay, and OSV

High-functioning, working knowledge of relevant payroll related standards, codes, GAAP, regulations and other related requirements.

2+ years of Client Management or Customer Success experience

Manage, review, and validate salary changes, benefits, and equity processing between various systems as it relates to payroll

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even under high-pressure situations

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite

Demonstrated project management experience, with repeated success managing teams and initiatives against deadlines

Experience with choosing payroll systems and transitioning away from a PEO

3+ years of experience managing a comprehensive payroll process, including effectively managing direct reports

Experience with multi-state and international payrolls for employee groups larger than 500 employees and with multiple classifications

Intermediate/advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to index/match formulas, vlookup formulas, and pivot tables. Comfort manipulating large datasets

Experience working with ADP payroll system; experience working with Rippling is a nice-to-have

Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Experience managing key Payroll integrations between Equity and Benefits partners (e.g., retirement, health)

Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers, negotiating contracts, monitoring their performance, and supporting SOX review processes.

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline payroll processing and reporting, improving accuracy and efficiency.

Implement and manage data security and privacy protocols for confidential employee information, including system access administration.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or commensurate employment experience

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills

We're open to this position working in a remote capacity within the United States.

Minimum of two (2) years experience with multi-state payroll or related experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws

Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Completion of semi-monthly US payroll and support monthly global payrolls:

Subject matter expertise and strong working knowledge of payroll best practices, guidelines and compliance including multi-jurisdictional tax management.

Working knowledge of benefits compliance particularly its relation to payroll as a core function

Strong systems knowledge and experience, preferably with UKG

Staying up to date with changes in payroll regulations and legislation across multiple countries and ensuring compliance with all requirements

Manage payroll-related special projects, including payroll system implementations and process improvements

10+ years of years of experience processing payroll, including 4+ years managing, full-cycle payroll with multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional organizations

Vendor management experience with a comprehensive payroll outsourcing model

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Manage processing of bi-weekly US and Canada payroll to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately

Manage relationship with US and Canada payroll vendor to ensure processes are effective and efficient

Manage the performance, goals and development of team including formal supervision of the US and Canada payroll teams

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum of 10 years of progressive payroll experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing international payroll.

Manage payroll-related special projects, including payroll system implementations, process improvements and integration of new countries and entities.

Provide training and mentoring to the payroll team including people managers and professional-level individual contributors.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other similar international certification preferred.

Certified Payroll Professional certification (CPP)

3+ years of experience with payroll systems (Workday, ADP), as well as leading a Payroll function

Experience driving change to streamline payroll processes and find efficiencies

Experience processing end-to-end payroll at a small to mid sized organization

Answer employee and management queries related to payroll

Performs other duties as assigned by management

Manages projects with little guidance; assumes control when opportunities presented

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

Bachelor degree in accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent qualification

3-5 years’ experience in U.S. payroll/accounting

Strong understanding of global payroll processes, best practices, and integration points with other internal Rocket departments. Excellent management and organizational skills.

Thorough knowledge of the payroll-related country, province, state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements.

Year-End: Manage the annual preparation and delivery of yearly forms as required within the jurisdictions.

10+ years global payroll experience.

Experience with global payroll system implementation.

Advanced level experience with Workday (or equivalent ERP), ActivPayroll and/or OneSource Virtual payroll vendors, and Excel (think pivot tables and lookups)
