Zayo is seeking a Global Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll team. Our Global Payroll Specialist is typically the first point of contact for employees in matters of time and attendance and payroll. The Global Payroll Specialist is responsible for the administration of the payroll function for Zayo, a global organization.

• We're open to this position working in a remote capacity within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and testing of complex payroll rules and how they are accomplished in the payroll and timekeeping system
• Verify payroll information
• Perform other duties as assigned after appropriate training has occurred
• Completion of semi-monthly US payroll and support monthly global payrolls:
• Audit payroll tax liabilities
• Liaise with our Global Payroll Partners
• Communicate with the People & Culture Operations Team in a professional manner to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, disability payments, and rate changes; make updates as necessary
• Provide support for the on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processes
• Run queries and reports to handle information requests from People Operations
• Serve as a subject matter expert for processes and procedures associated with Workday Payroll and Workday Time & Attendance
• Manipulate data in Excel with v-lookup and pivot tables
• Review and resolve payroll inquiries
• Manage payroll processing
• Review open payroll items for accuracy prior to payroll processing
• Import/export payroll data from the system into Excel and other systems

Qualifications

• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws
• Performs at meets or exceeds expectations level for all duties
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships that facilitate learning, promote teamwork, and demonstrate exemplary customer service
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Programs
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with multi-state payroll or related experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Ability to handle time sensitive/confidential information appropriately
• Ability to work independently and as a team member

Base pay range: $52,000-$69,000, commensurate with experience
