Food, Beverage and Bar Manager

Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management.

Previous Restaurant Manager Experience required

Monitor timing of guest experience.

All side-work complete and checked out by the manager.

To consistently insure the maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant.

Pre-meal meeting conducted with service staff on a daily basis.

Interviews and hires management and hourly employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.

Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.

High school diploma or GED; 5 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Demonstrates knowledge of the brand specific service culture.

Manages day-to-day operations, verifies that thquality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.

Administers the performance appraisal process for direct report managers.

Experience in completing administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, project management, etc.

Participate in weekly meetings with F&B Management staff. Work on projects assigned during these meetings and see them through to completion.

Ensure service standards are being met and exceeded. Offer support to staff when needed, offer corrections and coaching when applicable.

Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.

Conduct regular walkthroughs for maintenance in restaurants to continuously maintain or improve the physical properties.

Help supervise and support all operations in the Mansion, the Pool, in Banquets, and In-Room Dining.

2 years F&B management experience.

Delegate responsibilities and supervise business operations

Strong organization skills with the ability to multi task effectively

Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets

Effective written and oral communication skill

Deliver superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus 12 years or more of experience in construction, design or management

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

Actively involved with the development of construction personnel through mentoring and on-the-job training; to include performance management

Works with director of construction and construction core personnel to establish job organization including superintendent and PCE requirements

Directs requirements of governing authorities for permits, inspections and final approval of the project with A/E

Effectively manages client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders and response to client inquiries

Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid

Attend monthly all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management.

Ensure that F&B employees are at all times attentive friendly helpful and courteous to guests all other employees and managers.

Conduct beverage purchasing as needed. May share responsibility with Purchasing Manager.

Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers employees and other departments.

Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager and/or Director of Food & Beverage.

Minimum of 2+ years as F&B Management preferred

Basic knowledge of restaurant operations

Communication, organization and relationship skills

Proficient in general computer knowledge

Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred

We are looking for an individual that demonstrate the following skills

Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in a food and beverage leadership role or related management position.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Education: Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.

Meet food and beverage financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Investigate, resolve, respond to guest needs, inquires, comments and/or problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.

Perform Manager-on-Duty functions and shifts as assigned.

Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.

Develop processes and manage downstream contract administration including request for information (RFI’s), submittals, change management, contract closeout, documentation, and claims mitigation.

Develop and oversee materials receiving and management process, including inventory control, receipt of goods, storage, and transportation as required.

Manage labor burdens including craft classifications, benefits and labor laws.

Manage earned value, schedule, change management and cost metrics.

Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
