We’re excited to bring the Caption by Hyatt brand to Memphis, a brand that is truly committed to embracing the evolving needs of today’s traveler. This Hotel just opened in July 2022 and as the first Caption by Hyatt hotel in the world, this is an exciting opportunity to bring a new concept to life, right in your hometown!

The Caption by Hyatt brand’s signature marquee will adorn the hotel’s dual entrances, leading avid travelers and locals into the all-day, multi-functional lounge space, Talk Shop. At Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis, Talk Shop will include an expansive patio and double height beer garden that will be incorporated into the building’s historic, decorative façade on Front Street – with locally driven tap beer offerings that will showcase the best beverages of the region, open fire-pits, exposed brick, and existing metal work, Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis will have an unmistakable neighborhood feel.

The Caption by Hyatt brand is designed to embody our community and we are looking for individuals excited to bring the “Bluff City” to life inside our property.

This person oversees the different functions of the food and beverage areas including banquets, restaurant, room service and bar at different times within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling and training of staff.


Successful candidates will have a passion for food and beverage. The ability to motivate and hold a great team accountable, and thrive in a fast paced environment. This positon is perfect for an aspiring Food and Beverage Manger to gain valuable development in their career path.

We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments. Ultimately, you will ensure our food and beverage outlets run smoothly and customers have pleasant beverage and dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise business operations
  • Operating equipment responsibility
  • Monitoring store inventories activity and ensure proper provisions
  • Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business
  • Ensure staff members follow company policies and procedures
  • Deliver superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to bar and restaurant customers

Qualifications - External

  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently – conflict resolution
  • 2 years F&B management experience.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi task effectively
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members
  • Proven Leadership skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skill
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
