Certifications in area of investigative specialization preferred, e.g., CFE.

5 - 7 years of corporate security/life safety experience at management level

Responsible for the selection, training, supervision and management of the Corporate Office Security associates

Develops and drives crisis management plans for Burlington Facilities, Corporate facilities and Buying Offices

Certified Threat Manager (CTM) certification by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) preferred

Lead and own all responsibilities related to Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plans

Support Fire/Life Safety efforts on behalf of the organization as directed by Sr. Manager/Director

Candidates must have the following licenses and certifications:

Must have an active New York State Security Guard License

Must be able to stand for eight consecutive hours (all positions are standing)

Must pass a detailed two-step interview process to qualify for the position

Must be able to work interior and exterior posts

Must be able to conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot

Competent planning, project management, organization, and time management skills needed to appropriately prioritize and complete special projects and daily work

Excellent communication skills needed to present complex information to management and co-workers, and to conduct investigations

Maintain current working knowledge and follows both legal and General Motors’ requirements with respect to investigations, interviewing and surveillance

Computer skills needed to develop logs, process records and meet regular reporting requirements

Proficient with EthicsPoint Incident Management / AIMS tool (GM’s case management and Awareline tool)

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent of three years progressively responsible, related experience

Perform all other specific responsibilities and duties as required by Security Management.

Candidate must own their own firearm (approved by Security management).

Operate Fire Safety Command Station to make announcements and acknowledge alarms.

Minimum 5+ years of Law Enforcement experience required.

Executive Protection, Military, or Corporate Security experience a plus.

Associates/2 Yr Degree Wicklander-Zulawski Interview/Interrogation Certification preferred
