THE ROLE: The successful candidate must have experience supporting a Global Corporate Security function within a complex multi-site manufacturing or industrial organization. Position/Candidate location should be within 50 miles of an international airport.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Above average written report and presentation abilities, including defining KPIs, analyzing data, trending, and contribute information for business cases
  • Liaise with Xylem employees holding security responsibilities at sites and support real estate representatives with new or remodeled security installation at assets
  • Experience providing corporate oversight of an automated mass notification program
  • Familiarity with business continuity principals to support program as necessary.
  • Experience supporting investigations.
  • Ability to review, update, and communicate security policies and procedures
  • Support travel security program including liaising with travel security vendor, employees, and expats during crisis events
  • Assess, define, and project manage physical security system implementation at assets, which include access control, intrusion, gunshot detection, ballistic windows/film, CCTV, safe room and video surveillance requirements
  • Develop security related training including program topic materials and presentation
  • Comprehend technical language, interpret, and make recommendations from CAD drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify best in class physical security systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work independently and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Education – Requires an undergraduate degree in security or a related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5+ years of corporate security experience within a global manufacturing (or related industry) corporate security function
  • Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a collaborator
  • Adhere security industry best practices and international standards to Xylem business needs
  • Highly developed skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge to identify applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Project management best practices and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, training, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using mass notification software.
  • Highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Experience using travel security software.
  • CPP or similar certification
  • Experience using business continuity software.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this role, the working environment will be a hybrid model of both onsite and remote work. Candidate location should be within 50 miles of an international airport. The physical demands may include but not limited to sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds. In addition, this role is a standard Monday-Friday with some evenings or weekends as coverage is needed along with ability to travel up to 35%.
