Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN- onsite

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be at the forefront of optimizing operational efficiency within the realm of metal production fabrication. Your role will involve leading the implementation of methodologies and training programs focused on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Best Practice strategies. Through rigorous statistical analysis and monitoring, you will track and report the progress and success of these initiatives. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing processes, fostering global operational excellence, and contributing to the development of capital expenditure proposals. This role calls for a dedicated professional with a passion for operational enhancement, a knack for innovation, and a commitment to driving efficiency across international manufacturing sites.


Qualifications:

  • Strong emphasis on driving operational enhancements and optimizing capital equipment efficiency in the domain of metal production fabrication.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of methodological frameworks for analyzing outcomes in relation to global CI and Best Practice Programs.
  • Adherence to the Toyota Production System (TPS) principles in driving Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Contribution to major global Capital Expenditure proposals to augment operational efficiency.
  • Active involvement in global rollouts of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence Programs.
  • Facilitation of local CI initiatives and teams in the execution of vital projects like Kaizen.
  • Proficiency in uncovering opportunities for knowledge transfer of operational excellence and innovative technologies across various manufacturing sites.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and application of global metrics and CI methods to foster localized improvements, streamline customer complaint resolution, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Collaboration in the development of CI programs for standardized workflows across manufacturing and engineering teams globally.
  • Readiness for international travel based on project requirements.


Essential Duties:

  • Spearhead the implementation of methodologies and training in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Best Practice strategies.
  • Monitor and document progress and success of CI initiatives through comprehensive statistical and visual analysis.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
