Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Identify indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on Lean principles, concepts, and behaviors to help develop a culture of continuous improvement throughout our organization
  • Create detailed project plans to track and communicate improvement progress to key stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Help ensure that Lean tools and practices are being implemented correctly
  • Perform audits to identify waste in processes and recommend changes to improve performance
  • Utilize Lean tools to lead projects that improve process quality and efficiency to drive business results
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to develop annual plans in support of continuous improvements that drive key metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, employee engagement, and growth
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead, teach, and coach employees on all aspects of Lean manufacturing implementation
  • Strong problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, cause prevention, etc.)
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • (Preferred) Experience with databases, Microsoft Access, Macros, Minitab, MRP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively teach and interact with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative with ownership of ideas and projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean concepts and principles
  • Ability to adapt to and manage changes in priorities and directions as needed
