Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and motivated VP of Operations to oversee its portfolio of hotels in locations across the US.


Salary: $200-250k base


Location: Onsite daily in West LA


As VP of Operations, you will lead and manage all aspects of the hotel, including associate and guest satisfaction, top-line profitability, expense management and productivity, and delivering measurable results.


Responsibilities

· Oversee all hotel operations, including guest and associate satisfaction, financial performance, expense management, and productivity.

· Develop and implement strategies to enhance the hotel's position as the preeminent Santa Monica hotel.

· Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive top-line profitability and revenue growth.

· Implement effective sales and marketing initiatives to attract and retain guests.

· Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and procedures.

· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for associates.

· Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the hotel management team.

· Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.


Required Skills/Abilities

· Treats all guests with the highest level of concern and care; demonstrates a natural disposition towards personal and public safety; operates from a place of integrity, honesty, and ethics.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write and speak clearly.

· Treats everyone with respect and dignity, accepts responsibility and takes ownership of tasks, follows through on commitments, takes initiative and maintains confidentiality.

· Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

· Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Knowledge of the local Santa Monica market (strongly preferred)

· Extensive experience managing a similar size property with a focus on luxury, leisure guests.

· Minimum 5-10 years of hotel management experience as a GM or Director of Operations.

· Strong sales, finance, and revenue base and skilled at managing multiple stakeholders with a luxury and lifestyle background in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.

· Willingness to work hard and build a long-term career


Physical Requirements

· Expected work hours: 7:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday at the corporate office in West Los Angeles

· FLSA Status: Nonexempt
