Vp, Enterprise Data & Analytics

Job Summary:
This position manages a critical Enterprise Data Engineering and Analytics team and has primary responsibility of building Enterprise class Data Integration solutions, mission critical Data Platforms and other critical enterprise scale data engineering capabilities. This position is responsible for defining best practices around enterprise class data platforms and developing core data engineering capabilities. This role will require extensive contact with all management levels and other internal customers and is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex information technology issues. Manages a team of Data Analysts, Data engineers and Data Analytics Engineers responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable. This will be a hybrid based position in our St Petersburg, FL headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with multiple teams, understands the overall enterprise Data Architecture and develops the end-to-end solutions for data sourcing, data processing/integration, data provisioning and delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop team, while creating a vision for team and educating cross-functional teams on how to leverage data to identify opportunities to increase revenue and performance.
• Establishes the strategy to migrate on prem based data solutions to cloud-based solutions.
• Delivers projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria including those established by the business, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.
• Develops solutions which are resilient, stable and always on. Working with multiple teams across the organization, ensures that mission critical data platforms are highly available and resilient.
• Establishes the roadmap and vision for enterprise scale data engineering, executes on this roadmap to deliver shared frameworks for the broader enterprise application development teams.
• Mentor leaders and associates in the team to develop them and to build a strong team.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Remains up to date on key technology, business and industry trends.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, and deliver solutions in an agile and nimble manner.
• Focuses on workforce development and ensures that a strong team is built.
• Heads the delivery and maintenance of large enterprise scale mission critical data platforms.
• Focus on designing and developing highly scalable, efficient and reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:

• Strong understanding of Data Architecture and most importantly deep understanding of the overall Data in an enterprise and ability to understand Data in the context of Business goals.
• Experience with a breadth of Data Integration tools, Databases, Big Data Platforms, Cloud based data platforms and Data Streaming technologies.
• Experience or understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, R, Shell, Perl etc. is a plus .
• Expert level experience with AWS Data Platforms is a plus
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and ten plus (10) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Financial Services experience is preferred.
• Expert/Advanced level experience with ETL technologies, Data Streaming using integration patterns like Kafka, Spark Streaming.
• Experience in building from the ground up a modern next generation data warehouse platform.
• Experience with Search data platforms is a plus.
• Experience in the enterprise implementation, leadership experience, strategic planning, strong business acumen.
