Manager, Business Data Analytics

Job Summary
Heitmeyer’s east coast banking client is expanding its Data as a Service and adding a managerial position to lead, coach, and manage a large team of business data analysts. This role is contract to hire after a 6-8 month period contingent upon performance and requires on-site 2 days a week in Charlotte, NC.

As a people and data-focused leader, this individual will hire, develop staff, set individual and team goals, carry out disciplinary actions if necessary, and celebrate successes. Other key responsibilities include creating and rolling out policies and procedures, identifying learning opportunities to enhance productivity, continue driving agile goals, and handling resource demand and allocation.
Required Skills:

• 12+ years of data analysis and/or business intelligence experience
• Must have recent banking experience
• Any experience with ETL, Big Data, or Cloud
• Must have technical expertise in SQL and ability to be hands-on if needed
• Experience working in an agile delivery model using Jira and Confluence
• Top-notch communication skills to communicate technical and business ideas and work effectively across multiple teams
• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
• Must have people management experience including leading and coaching direct reports

Nice-to-Have:

• Oracle DB
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud tech stack or any Cloud experience in general
• Kanban experience is a plus
• Data Visualization and/or reporting experience
