We are growing fast – in fact we grew by 25% in the past year - and as part of our continued growth, we currently have an opportunity for a Vice President, Software Product Engineering, Development and Delivery to join our Envision Technology Solutions Division.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President, Software Product Engineering, Development and Delivery is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the engineering teams as well as the management and execution of software development projects against delivery commitments and project plans. This role will lead, manage and develop a global team of professionals within Customer Delivery, Product Management, Product Development, UX Design, and Next Generation Product Management.

What you will be doing:

• Implement clear product metrics for business and customer satisfaction, drive process improvements, strategic product planning and key roadmap decisions.
• Manage P&L of current and next generation platform/portfolio of products.
• Lead, manage and develop a global team of professionals within Delivery Success, Product Management, Product Development, UX Design, and Next Generation Product.
• Ensure Continuous improvement of the our engineering capabilities and methodologies to stay up with the latest and greatest technologies.
• Lead customer advisory/focus boards.
• Engage with all business units on business and sale requirements to drive increased revenue though both licensing and services for of current and next generation platform/portfolio of products.
• Management of Governance of the Roadmap and strategy for of current and next generation platform/portfolio of products.
• Coordinate and communicate with other senior leaders on product roadmap, operational opportunities and challenges, partnership opportunities, key performance indicators, financial results, and other management priorities.
• Ensure departments understand and comply with quality standards and requirements as documented.
• Establish coding, testing, QA, and production monitoring standards.
• Align a long-term technical strategy with industry best practices to influence the design of new products and features.
• The VP will work directly with senior leaders in engineering/development teams to deliver quality cutting edge technology across all platforms.
• Deliver critical platform enhancing features.
• Bring all clients to a regularly upgrade process to ensure that clients are running on the latest and greatest software.
• Establish more efficient delivery methodologies.
• Regular engagement with EPG ELT on product strategy and direction.
• Ensure delivery (quality, efficiency) of current and next generation platform/portfolio of products to our clients.
• Engagement with clients include establishment of Client Advisory Boards and input requirements from clients on of current and next generation platform/portfolio of products.
• Ensure project performance on time, on budget and with high quality results.
• Manage all product focused engineering teams & outside vendors.
• Establish Next Generation software development for all new products based on a true SaaS multitenant philosophy.
• Assures that company milestones and plans are developed for each project and that the planned results are realized.

What skills and expertise you will possess:

• Experience building products from conception.
• Demonstrated ability to work globally and effect change.
• Experience in working in a global, multi-functional, matrix organization circa 1000 people.
• Relevant Degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent years of experience; Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience leading Software Engineering Product Development and/or Product Management and/or product strategy and/or related teams within the life sciences.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership positions within product delivery, development, management and/or strategy.
• Recognized and proven senior leader of IT function.

• Ability to manage governance and other management bodies to ensure that our product development drive increased revenue.
• Strong product and project management skills.
