Job Purpose/Background:
The Vice President, Office of the Chairman and CEO, reports to the Chief of Staff and is responsible forpreparing and managing day-to-day activities required for the CEO’s client strategy and public engagements, as well as strategic initiatives and high priority projects. The ideal candidate will provide support to the Chief of Staff bypreparing briefing materials, managing and evaluatinginbound requests, research and writing for internal and external audiences, and liaising with key stakeholdersinternally and externally. Effective execution will require preparation for engagements, fact-based research and writing skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in collaboration with senior business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day support of the CEO’s engagements and meetings including briefing materials, presentations, and memos related to senior engagements
- Evaluate and prioritize engagement requests against CEO’s strategic priorities and identify commercial opportunities with partners across the firm
- Coordinate CEO external engagements with investors, clients, and other stakeholders, as well as internal engagements across the firm
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of the CEO and key partners, oversee follow ups, and develop new content
- Assist with high priority projects and initiatives
- Serve as a content expert and oversee designated coverage areas (region, strategic initiatives, affiliations, key events, etc.)

- Structured communication skills: Ability to communicate upcoming deliverables and objectives, influence stakeholders and effectively manage projects with lead time, clear and inclusive guidance
- Intellectual Curiosity: Strong grasp of content, business models, interest in markets and geopolitical trends; ability to synthesize large amounts of information, form and test hypotheses and identify commercial opportunities
- Problem solving: Structured critical thinker with superior problem-solving abilities who is able toorganize people under pressure and pull in key decision makers to prioritize issues and respond to clients and senior management
- Project management: Efficiently manage project processes, navigate trade-offs and effectively manage own and others’ time
- PowerPoint and business writing skills: Ability to quickly produce management-level quality presentations, business memos and can synthesize key information using data and analytics
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to engage diverse set of stakeholders, build long-term relationships, and create a collaborative and approachable environment, especially when working across departments or time sensitivity
- 5+ years of experience in a directly relevant field (financial services, management consulting or similar); preferably 1+ years of experience within BlackRock

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $142,500 – $190,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
