Job Description

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with leaders within national and regional manufacturers and suppliers
  • Collaborate consistently with in-house engineering, estimating, manufacturing, warehousing, and field teams to deliver continuous improvement
  • Lead and manage forecasting and purchasing for over $70MM of construction and manufacturing materials in sheet metal, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and energy storage.
  • Lead supply improvement initiatives across Villara’s materials and other product spend
  • Lead key performance metrics to measure and continuously improve supply chain optimization, cost improvement, and supplier performance
  • Lead teams that carry out product-focused and project-focused purchasing.
  • Conduct national and international sourcing for optimized materials for both field and manufacturing uses; build new supply chains for materials for innovative research and development initiatives

Some Key Qualifications:

  • Proven effectiveness in people leadership, people development, and team building
  • Experience with capex sourcing/procurement
  • Skilled in the use of ERP Materials Management systems. SAP Materials Management experience especially beneficial.
  • National sourcing/procurement experience required; international sourcing/ procurement experience a plus
  • Microsoft Excel: 10 years (Required)
  • Proven effectiveness negotiating supplier pricing and supply agreements
  • Negotiation: 8 years (Required)
  • Effectively leads both strategic and tactical/operational initiatives to success.
  • Supply chain: 8 years (Required)
  • Proven effectiveness in building excellent relationships with senior leaders of suppliers at both manufacturer and distributor levels and building trusting partnerships with internal leaders and managers
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, business, economics, or related fields
  • 8+ years of proven effectiveness in supply chain with at least 5+ years of highly effective supply chain management
