Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Make regular phone calls, emails, and visits to potential business partner prospects on a daily basis.

2. Work within assigned area to bring Underwriting businesses on board.

3. Maintain ZOHO software system in order to track billing, collections, projections and other important underwriter data.

4. Attend station events for networking purposes, as needed.

5. Attend other meetings in the community to facilitate business relationships that lead to business partnerships.

6. Work with Underwriting director and Production Director on underwriting promo copy in order to make sure the radio station remains FCC compliant with the rules for non-commercial radio networks.

7. Work on communicating and adjusting personal underwriting goals.

8. Work closely with Underwriting Director to find ways for radio network promotions and business partners to work together to benefit the radio network and the community.

9. Work closely with Program Director and Production Director to make sure radio network promo copy meets the needs of each business partner and fit within FCC non-commercial guidelines.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
