Evaluate the quality of service and adherence of assigned Individual Underwriting guidelines and processes by the Individual Underwriting teams. Coach areas of noncompliance of department processes, through feedback and recommendations in accordance with the quality program. Participate and support various quality assurance projects necessary to the ongoing efficient functioning of the department.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023.
  • Underwriting Quality Auditor I: $24.00 - $30.88 (Hourly), plus annual bonus opportunity
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on the start date.
  • Estimated Compensation (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Underwriting Quality Auditor I: $24.00 - $30.88 (Hourly), plus annual bonus opportunity
    • Underwriting Quality Auditor II $50,000 - $65,000 (Salary), plus annual bonus opportunity
  • Underwriting Quality Auditor II $50,000 - $65,000 (Salary), plus annual bonus opportunity
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Learn continuous improvement methodologies. Actively explore new ideas to improve the current process to ensure continual compliance. Take practical knowledge/experience to improve and/or create a productive process. Explores new ideas leveraging current tools along with new technologies in the industry. Active participant in the daily management process.
  • Conducts quality reviews to assure service, accuracy, and adherence to the set internal and external standards, regulations, and requirements as determined by the department. This includes the quality reviews, facilitation and coordination for associates in support of programs and processes, and external vendor and Reinsurance audit support and coordination.
  • Maintains confidentiality in the collection, maintenance and dissemination of restricted, sensitive or other information as identified by leaders. Uses the quality design process and materials to remain objective with all quality responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in analysis and data interpretation. Evaluates, identifies deficiencies, trends and when applicable, recommends actions.
  • Handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines requirements. Must be flexible.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written. Communication is clear, concise, and professional. Uses appropriate grammar and spelling. Leverage contemporary company communication tools to convey message. This includes active listening, emotional intelligence and communicating with great clarity. Remains curious.
  • Actively increasing knowledge in support of business area guidelines, requirements, and processes. Remains abreast of company and industry changes, federal and state legislation and regulations, as well as changes in internal processes and procedures.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong Technical skills in various software applications and end-user computing.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of life and/or health insurance experience
  • Strong oral and written communication, with the ability to articulate instructions and information to a dynamic audience
  • Some experience and knowledge in presentations
