Transportation Supervisor - Tracy, Ca Distribution Center

The Northern California Division Distribution Center, located in Tracy California, has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor. The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for assisting management in the supervision of drivers and staff of the Transportation Department. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of product from the Distribution Center in Tracy to our stores in Northern California. Responsibilities include and are not limited to, communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment, implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers dispatchers and software vendors, managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs and monitoring employees daily work assignments.

The salary range is $ 68,000 to $ 72,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications:

• 2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 5 years progressive trucking experience.

• 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations

• Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, XRS and Prospero experience are a plus

• Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements

• High degree of initiative and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
