Become a Training Programs & Development (TP&D) Advisor, at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This position will be in the Central Design and Engineering (CD&E), Design Strategy & Performance (DS&P), and TP&D Department within Southern California Edison’s (SCE). The successful candidate will lead teams made up of managers and supervisors for the creation, maintenance and implementation of pivotal initiatives, Program management and Staffing strategy for the Design Organization. This role will be responsible for the development of business cases, project implementation, and coordination with the analytics team to drive planning success.
This position works across all Planning fields and locations in Distribution to include Planning Supervisors, District and Regional Managers, Senior and Principal managers, and Directors. Collaborate with Strategic partners in Training, Human Resources/Talent Acquisition, Information Technology, Transportation Services Department, and Corporate Real Estate.

- Development and implementation of formalized career progression model for the Planning department as a whole.
- Oversee development and implementation of new roles in the Planning Organization, (e.g. Field Tech) and conduct analysis of the impact of these roles which will feed into a modified or revamped training approach.
- Involved in policy discussion with HR and training as Standards of Conduct are implemented for new roles and ensure executive talking point are available for program events.
- Actively communicate information to keep partners and key personnel in the organization informed and engaged.
- Strategy development, implementation, and oversight of development programs (existing and new), including monitoring and leading program quality and long-term efficiency.
- Lead efforts in building and training a robust pipeline of talent, which includes, but is not limited to, the three planning areas and over 50 locations.
- Utilize influence and negotiation to further Design Support initiatives for better interpersonal alignment.
- Lead and implement projects management of various Planning and DS&P initiatives (ex: Planning for Our Future).
- Aligning staffing strategy, resource planning and coordination between organizations and alignment across development programs.
The Essentials:
- Seven or more years experience leading and implementing projects and/or programs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
The Preferred:
- Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Develop strategies for production efficiency.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business or related field.
- Develop and complete business plans, lead information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Experience advising clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and communicating results.
- Familiarity with SCE Distribution Design, Distribution Construction Activities, and /or Distribution Planning roles.
- Analyzing resource plans and performance metrics and making recommendations on future staffing and performance solutions.

- The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
