Technical Business Analyst Jobs

DUTIES: Technical Business Analyst needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home) to produce and prioritize backlog for development and estimation. Define user stories and acceptance criteria. Work closely with business and development teams to gather, analyze and document business, system and functional requirements from clients and business users. Engage and interact with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions. Build consensus among stakeholders and partner with engineers and designers to deliver high quality experiences. Provide clear vision and documentation through use cases, product requirements and high-level wire frames to support UX design, tech development and operations support. Attend and actively participate in scrum meetings through sprint planning, standup, demos and retrospectives. Serve as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution. Conduct client demos of new and upcoming functionalities. Create user help for end users and internal support teams. Perform card (user story) sign-off. Provide direction for testing of new functionalities. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information and complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions and presenting recommended solutions to all levels of the organization. Perform analyses and execute testing of REST web services to verify that the services RESTful API meet the acceptance criteria defined in the user stories. Collaborate with Lead Product Managers, stakeholders during pre-discovery phase to identify project requirements. Validate technical design documents and use cases to highlight any potential gap between the two. Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance and system performance. Document both functional and technical documentations: business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, use cases, traceability matrixes, test cases, API specs and technical design documents. Utilize architectural designs to create technical stories for developers in order to complete projects. Assign and delegate tasks to ensure projects meet deadlines. Work within an Agile environment and utilize Agile and Scrum practices. Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in a sprint-wise fashion using Agile software development processes. Conduct product backlog refinement sessions. Monitor the execution of project plans and record the deviation in time or scope. Conduct demos on the delivery of milestones to receive approval from clients or stakeholders. Evaluate feature performances through analytics and provide feedback to teams. Identify project enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering and five (5) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation working closely with business and development teams to gather, analyze and document business, system and functional requirements from clients and business users; evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information and complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions and presenting recommended solutions to all levels of the organization; identifying, prioritizing and executing tasks in a sprint-wise fashion using Agile software development processes; conducting product backlog refinement sessions; utilizing architectural designs to create technical stories for developers in order to complete projects; assigning and delegating tasks to ensure projects meet deadlines; monitoring the execution of project plans and recording the deviation in time or scope; performing analyses and executing testing of REST web services to verify that the services RESTful API meet the acceptance criteria defined in the user stories; conducting demos on the delivery of milestones to receive approval from clients or stakeholders; evaluating feature performances through analytics and providing feedback to teams; and identifying project enhancements.
