Team Lead - 2Nd Shift

Gemini is seeking a Plant Team Lead to join our team in Cast Plaque Metals. This is a 2nd shift position with a minimum starting pay of \$21.27 per hour. Our ideal candidate exhibits team development skills with openness and flexibility to work around the plant.

A day in the life of a Team Lead at Gemini Inc. involves:

• Leading a team to ensure daily production requirements are attained with a focus on quality, delivery, cost, and safety. Completes a variety of tasks including record keeping and reporting.
• Provides leadership and training to team members to effectively utilize and build on talent, experience, and growth.
• Reports to Plant Supervisor.
• Observes and evaluates work performed by employees to ensure that individual and teamwork performance is acceptable by standards set by the company. Coaches employees on strengths and areas for improvements. Assists employees with development areas.
• Coordinates staffing and scheduling for assigned department(s). Assists in determining need for overtime. Schedules vacations for employees.
• Due to the nature of a metal foundry, working conditions require the use of proper PPE to protect hearing and vision as well as the ability to physically load and unload materials.

Qualifications

Proven leadership ability through training, projects oversight, and other duties intended to engage and empower coworkers. Consistently flexes and provides leadership within departments and buildings to meet the company\'s needs. Technical understanding of processes in the scope of the lead position are also preferred.

Position Requirements

• Proven leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing methods and techniques.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, supervisory experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change within the plant.
